Portraits of India

Portraits of India

The opportunity of a lifetime came to me a year ago when I was asked to spend several weeks in India. I took the one-in a lifetime opportunity to explore and experience the country like no other tourist would. The journey started in the city of Pune, then worked my way up to Delhi, Agra and finished it off in the beautiful city of Jaipur, also known as The Pink City.  My goal was to experience India’s unique culture and lifestyle. I didn’t want a typical sight seeing experience. I wanted something more than that and I was very fortunate to know a few people in the city, which actually helped a lot with getting around the country. They gave me really good advice and pointed me to different locations, which I would have never experienced had it not been for them. People in India are so loyal and hospitable. Everyone I met was very friendly, which made it easier for me to photograph.  The journey was long and adventurous, but very rewarding at the end.  I’m really thankful to everyone that helped make this happen! The following photographs “Portraits of India” are specially dedicate to you.
